Flat Ramp Gangway

Flat Ramp Style (SFR) Gangways

  • Available in 24″, 36″, 48″, 60″ and 72″ widths and numerous lengths
  • Aluminum, galvanized steel or stainless steel
  • Heavy-duty upright to support optional safety cage

A Simple, Sturdy Design. Our SFR gangways are flat ramp designs that feature a slip-resistant walk surface. Popular for hopper car and some truck applications, this model works best when there is little to no difference between the platform height and vehicle height. All models come standard with rubber bumpers for vehicle protection, machine-quality pivot points and a hot-dipped galvanized steel base tread.

FLAT RAMP STYLE (SFR) GANGWAY FEATURES

Why You Should Choose G4

SafeRack’s patent pending G4Series truck and railcar gangways and bridges have been engineered for durability and ease of use. These access gangways are built to stand up to abuse with rugged, oversized parts and feature counterbalanced and adjustable springs which help raise and lower units with minimal effort.

SafeLok – Gangway Locking Device

SafeLok is a one-of-a-kind safety device that prevents operators from bypassing the gangway safety system. The innovative mechanism keeps gangways securely locked in the down position until an operator returns to the main loading platform where the lock can then be released to raise the gangway. This unique solution prevents the gangway from being moved until workers are safely out of the work area.

Improved Base Tread, Improved Gangway

Without precision alignment, equipment wears prematurely, which decreases its lifespan and reliability and increases your maintenance costs and risk for injury. Our patented base tread solves that issue by aligning all pivot holes within a four thousandths tolerance.

The process is achieved through robotic manufacturing, which means it’s not only accurate, but it’s repeatable, as well. An average of 17 pivot holes per gangway rotate smoothly, allowing for all bushings and pivot points to rotate freely. It all comes together to make the gangway easy to raise and lower, which ensures a longer-lasting, extremely reliable product.
