Portable Safe Acccess Solution

Northern Platforms Ltd was contacted by a national polymer & chemical distribution company in Canada with a facility in Alberta. The customer had an immediate need to safely access the tops of railcars in multiple locations along their rail siding.

They needed to provide a safe way for their employees to open the hatches on the hopper & cars retain a sample prior to unloading them. The client wanted to know how quickly they could have a sales representative from Northern Platforms Ltd come to their site to go over the options available to them.

Less than 90 minutes after the phone call was answered, a Northern Platforms Ltd sales representative was on site going over different solutions for safely accessing the tops of hopper cars. The sales representative pointed out that a portable railcar access unit with a parallel approach would allow their operators to safely and easily access hopper cars in multiple locations along their rail siding.

Two members of Northern Platforms Ltd installation team delivered and assembled the portable railcar access unit for the customer and did a demonstration of the proper operating procedures.
